Peter Keating

Peter Keating

Managing Director

Peter has over 25 years practical experience as a commercial scientist in a vast spread of biological, chemical and engineering applications, as well as maintaining a career as research scientist and inventor.

He has extensive knowledge of Western Australia’s flora, fauna, waterbodies, aquifers and geology as well as the state and federal regulatory framework.

Genevieve Massam

Genevieve Massam

Horticultural Scientist

Genevieve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management, with first class honours, from the University of Western Australia. She has over five years experience as a horticultural consultant and is involved in research for horticultural growers, as well as managing the analysis of water, soil and leaf tissue samples for chemical, microbial and pathology purposes.

Anna Schumann

Anna Schumann

Environmental Scientist

Studied Environmental Science at the University of Applied Sciences in Mittweida, Germany. At Bioscience, since 2005, she applies her DNA technical skill to research projects and growth trials in relation to Bioprime.  In addition, she analyses different soil and plant samples in our molecular biology laboratory for their microbial biodiversity or the presence of pathogens (mostly dieback).

Julia Heide

Julia Heide

Environmental Engineer

Julia completed her Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering including her honours at the Technical University of Darmstadt in 2017.  Her thesis was focusing on the adsorption behaviour of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons on microplastic particles in a water phase.  At Bioscience Julia is involved in consulting mainly in hydrogeology and geotechnical investigations. Field work comprises of supervision of bore installation, groundwater sampling and soil sampling. Julia is also working in the laboratory, where she conducts geotechnical soil testing and analysis for research and development.

Falko Matthes

Falko Matthes

Environmental Scientist

Falko studied biology at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg (Germany) before completing his PhD in marine microbiology at Cardiff University (UK). During his post-doctoral research at UWA (Perth, Australia), Falko investigated soil-plant-microbe interactions in semi-arid agricultural soils and developed his expertise in molecular ecology. At Bioscience, Falko runs the DNA lab applying his skills and experience to both internal and external R&D projects as well as plant pathology.

Didier Alanoix

Didier Alanoix

Environmental Scientist

Didier holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Biochemistry from University of Reunion Island and a Master in Natural Resources Management from Edith Cowan University. Didier has more than 4 years practical experience in soil and groundwater investigations and reporting for urban and industrial developments.  His scope of work includes (but are not limited to) DA applications, groundwater licensing, ASS investigations, dynamic modelling of urban stormwater systems, and the conception of finite difference groundwater flow models for aquifer simulation.

Fiona McDonald

Fiona McDonald

Environmental Scientist

With my interest in plant pathology and soil microbial ecology, I completed a Masters of Environmental Biotechnology at the University of Western Australia having previously completed a B.Sc in Genetics and Biochemistry. Here at Bioscience, I value the opportunity to both apply my science background within the horticultural industry and learn directly the unique challenges they face, I carry out routine analysis of plant, soil and water samples and assist Bioscience in the various research and management projects they carry out for these clients.
